  What information and documentation do I need to gather?

Here is a list of information you may need for the loan application:

  • Address of property you want to purchase or refinance
  • Present address
  • Former addresses (if you have lived at current residence for less than two years)
  • Current employer(s)’s contact information
  • Previous employer’s contact information (if you have been with your current employer for less than two years
  • Monthly income (base, commissions, bonuses, overtime, etc)
  • Current housing expenses
    • Rent (if you rent)
    • 1st Lien principal and interest (if you own)
    • 2nd Lien principal and interest
    • Hazard insurance
    • Property tax
    • Mortgage insurance
    • Homeowner’s association dues
  • Total assets
    • Checking and savings account numbers
    • Amount of money in checking and savings accounts
    • Stocks and bonds
    • Life insurance net cash value
    • Life insurance face amount
    • Market value of other real estate you own [does this include the house they currently live in????]
    • Value of retirement account
    • Net worth of business you own
    • [Market] value of automobiles you own
    • Other assets
  • Total liabilities
    • Could include: automobile loans, revolving credit such as credit cards, alimony, child support, installment loans, etc.
    • Need to know creditor’s contact information and account number

Here is the documentation you may need:

  • Proof of income:
    • Pay Stubs (Provide the most recent 30 day pay stubs)
    • 2 Years W2's and/or Tax Returns
    • Bank Statements, 401(k) Statements, and Other Asset Documentation
    • Proof of Lease Agreements, Proof of Misc. Income, Etc.
